Die '82-Version gefällt mir auch besser, passt viel besser zu dem Kerl, der Roland in Band 1 war und auch zur Situation. Das ganze i beg ya ist mir in dem Moment zu viel des Guten.
Meine Lieblingszitate...
Schwere Frage, ganz groß sind natürlich Go then, there are other worlds than these. und The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.
Aber davon ab sind es eher die kleinen Dinge, die ich mag. Viele von Rolands Gedanken, als er zum ersten Mal in "unsere" Welt kommt, z.B. The prisoner sat down. Looked at a limp-covered book he thought of as a
"Magda-Seen," although who Magda might have been or what she might have seen mattered not a whit to Roland. (Wieder mal ein Gag, der nur im Englischen wirklich gut funktioniert.)
Oder ein paar von Eddies Sprüchen. Da waren ein paar echte Reißer dabei.
Aber auch dieser Gedanke von Roland ist irgendwie hängengeblieben: Lend me your wings, bird. I’ll spread them and fly on the thermals.
Und dann das Gedicht zu (DT7) und die Reihe von I come in the name of... Absolute Gänsehaut!
