Zitat:Dani Filth: Well, can I just make a point that I think emo is the fucking most horrible invention ever. I think in music itself, genres come, genres have fallen, and genres have melted together. I know how people are complaining it’s all commercial, and want to be underground. Slipknot has broken through, Manson has broken through, Cradle are sellouts, The Darkness are on TV, and another band in that’s huge in Europe is Nightwish. I actually think it’s great. Who gives a fuck if the music is popular? I don’t like these people that assume [music] is some sort of club, as soon as their friends get into it, they don’t like it. You either like music or you don’t. How are bands going to survive if they only cater to the individual? I like the fact that rock dominates the charts now. Everyone will be moaning when things go back to acid house, or 80’s pop again. I like the fact that the bands I like are getting big, which means they can put more records out and do cooler videos. I mean, I like my rock stars as dead as anybody else, but while their alive I like them to be big and larger than life.
