Stephen hat sehr viele Bereiche beleuchtet und ist an das Thema von unterschiedlichen Seiten her herangegangen. Besonders hat mir gefallen, dass er nicht mit dem Holzhammer drauflos prügelt, sondern sich dem Thema realistisch nähert und umsetzbare "Lösungen" anbietet. Was gestern Abend auf twitter los war ist allerdings schon wieder eine ganz andere Sache. Wie da manche User auf Stephen verbal eindreschen ist wirklich der Wahnsinn. Besonders schlimm fand ich, dass man bei manchen extrem gemerkt hat, dass sie das Teil a) nicht gelesen oder b) nicht verstanden haben. Irgendwie ziemlich traurig das Ganze. Finde ich jedenfalls sehr bemerkenswert, dass er sich so ausführlich zu dem für die Amerikaner heiklem Thema äußert. Daumen hoch dafür. "Generell gut, aber trotzdem mit Fehlern"?! Man hat teilweise den Eindruck, als ob die so unterschwellig manches ankreiden, aber es nicht wirklich auf den Punkt bringen wollen. Ein abschließendes Fazit wäre vielleicht nicht schlecht gewesen. Whatever... Re: Guns - bigben - 20.11.2014 GUNS würde ich gerne mal lesen... Ob das Essay jemals auf deutsch erscheint?
